Shepherd Home Limited Partnership for Shepherd Home Supportive Housing, through its Managing Agent, DeMarco Management Corporation, is pleased to announce that applications are currently being accepted for occupancy at Shepherd Home Supportive Housing, a Permanent Supportive Housing community located at 112 Bow Lane in Middletown, CT. The units are available on a non-discriminatory basis. The income limits apply based on family size, but generally range from $16,950.00 (1 person) to $33,900.00 (1 person) household. Rental Subsidy will be available for qualified persons through the Middletown Housing Authority, as such tenant rents will be determined based on 30% of annual gross adjusted income.
The goal of Shepherd Home Supportive Housing is to provide permanent supportive housing with a focus on Veterans, which will combine decent, safe, affordable apartment homes. Residency priority will be afforded to homeless Veterans and low-income Veterans, although Veterans regardless of status will be included on the Veterans sub-list, subject to development income restrictions. Supportive services will be available to all residents who desire voluntary supports to assist then in maintaining safe, affordable housing. Residents of these units will have access to flexible, individualized services for as long as they are needed in order to achieve and retain permanent housing, increase their life skills and income, and achieve greater self-determination. St Vincent DePaul Middletown (SVDM) will provide voluntary supportive services and recreational activities and participate in the performance evaluation of the project. All units will be made affordable to tenants based on the following Income limits and in no circumstance, shall exceed the income and rental limits for CHFA guidelines:
Six (6) efficiencies and seven (7) one-bedroom units will be designated for households with annual incomes at or below 25% AMI;
Nineteen (19) one-bedroom units will be designated for households with annual incomes at or below 50% AMI.
